The faster would be the best, at least an announce in a near future.

I certainly hope that this is the case. I have bought a Clara BW to my granddaughter and I really liked the screen. (Un)fortunately it is 6" without page turn buttons. If it was 7" I would buy one for myself.

I think not replacing the Libra 2 was the stupidest thing Kobo has done.

That is interesting -- flexibility is definitely a good property, making more durable devices. I wonder if they've managed to resolve the issues w/ previous attempts at plastic backplanes.

I think the issue was lower contrast and slower updates, but I'm not sure -- only going on memory of comments from when the Forma was still being produced.

Although Kobo won't release the same model twice, if a new Libra comes with a BW screen, that'll have most probably an updated screen and possibly MTK chipset like the 2024 models have. And with stylus support... (not like I wanted that)
I would guess that the new Kindle PW6 also has this Carta 1300 screen.

Yep. I have a Libra 2 and Clara BW and there's no noticeable difference in screen quality or speed.
