After I clicked Run, at first it didn't work because of some patches I had to disable but when it seemed to be finally ok it gave me this error:

Error: could not apply patches: could not load patch file 'src/libnickel_custom-Jp.yaml': could not open patch file: open src/libnickel_custom-Jp.yaml: The system cannot find the file specified.

Sorry, the libnickel_custom-Jp.yaml and nickel_custom-Jp.yaml are my custom patch files.

Please find attached the kobopatch.yaml without those custom files.

Copy and paste it to replace the kobopatch.yaml on KoboPatchFan folder and kobopatch_save folder.

Omg sorry! I tried to copy past the other kobopatch file you gave me in case there was a problem with mine and thought it had been delated once I uninstalled and installed again the kobopatch desktop app. I'll try tomorrow and see if it works this time. 🤞🏻

I still prefer Notepad++ but Notepad maintains CR/LF, CR or LF EOLs in most cases. A simple edit of Kobo eReader.conf is not one of those odd cases on an up to date Windows 10/11 computer.

Personally, I still recommend Notepad++ since I don't trust people to be using a system updated to the newer Notepad.

I almost made it work!!!
I finally connected my Kobo to Google Drive, gave all the authorizations asked, now there's even a Rakuten Kobo folder in my Google Drive etc... but now when I click on "Get started" in the Google Drive page on my kobo, it stops on a white "charging page" mode and couldn't even download any of the kepubs I have on the Rakuten folder despite the synchronization. I even tried to reboot my Kobo but it still doesn't work.

Kobo Claras (HD, 2E, BW, Color) doesn't have Google Drive or Dropbox section.
Turn on the WiFi and Use Nickelmenu to open Google Drive

That's what I did but it doesn't go beyond the white charging page. Unless I'm missing something.

In my experience, if the white charging page appears, it means my Kobo Clara 2E's Wi-Fi connection is not connected yet (or is in the process of being connected).
Ensure the WiFi is connected and then open Google Drive (and Dropbox) through Nickelmenu.

The WiFi is on and it works. It seems like Google Drive is not able to connect anymore. It's just stucked on the loading page.

Edit: Is it normal that in my eReader.conf the line I previously copied disappeared and the kobo_google_drive_link_account_enabled=True is now back on false?
Anyway, I tried to reinstall everything and nothing changed.

That is ok, see the attachment screenshot.

The pop-up window displays Scanning for networks, as shown in your attachment (image no.2).
It informs you that WiFi is not connected yet so you will have a blank page (image no. 3).
Make sure the WiFi is connected and stable before executing the Godrive command via Nickelmenu.

Note:
When Kobo is successfully authorized to Google Drive and Dropbox.
You will find the new lines for Google Drive and Dropbox settings in the Kobo eReader.conf file as shown in the attached screenshot.

If you find no authorized line for Google Drive, you may need to set it up as per post nbr.7

There was no authorized line for GD so I set it up again as you suggested, did all the authorization process again, got a message on Kobo that everything went well etc... then the device rebooted itself and couldn't connect to GD anymore. And again, there's still no authorized line for GD in the kobo ereader conf. file.
I follow all the instructions step by step, I'm sure I'm not missing anything but apparently there's something in my device that doesn't allow it to support GD.

Edit: I don't know if this matters but another thing that I've noticed in the conifg file is that these lines

googledrive_link_account_start=https://authorize.kobo.com/{region}/{language}/linkcloudstorage/provider/google_drive AND kobo_googledrive_link_account_enabled=True

other than combing back to the way they were written before (aka without the part I had to add) they also aren't one under the other despite me having copy pasted them exactly as suggested.

I understood, but for some reason I can't make it work on mine. After all, you just have to copy past a few lines and files, how can you doing it wrong? Anyway, thank you so much for the patience and help! If I'll ever make it I'll let you know!

So, I created a folder in my Google Drive to download books from there and I enabled the option that says that everyone who has the link have access to that folder, but I've noticed that every time I try to open that link in my Kobo via NickelMenu (menu_item : main : Google Drive : nickel_browser : https:// ...) or the Browser itself (I either sent that link to my Gmail account and tried to open it from there and also tried to open my Google Drive account googling it) but it never works and it says "folder cannot be found" and it's still stucked on a charging mode.

I tried to open that link with other devices and it works, so the problem must be my device. I guess this is the same reason why any of my attempts to enable Google Drive on my Kobo didn't work. So weird!
