Screensaver message

hi there,

what is the difference between the following options for screensaver message:

- black background behind message
- white background behind message
- leave background as-in behind message

I would like the banner to be black with white text, however all three of these options seem to have no effect at all. I noticed that I can only get the desired effect when using night mode.

I have 'use last book's cover as screensaver' selected, if that makes any difference.

It applies to the background *behind* the widget (unless you have another option that modifies the background, i.e., an image or a cover).

Not the text widget itself.

I see. well in that case I'll keep it the way it is then.

btw I really like the box, but you can only have it in the middle, is there a particular reason why you can't have the box (not the banner) at top and bottom?

Not really, top/bottom are just designed to be less intrusive.
