When you put eBooks on the Kobo through KOReader, you then need to exit KOReader back to Nickel and do something to trigger an import because Nickel doesn't know those eBooks are there and need importing. I used Nickelmenu to trigger the import.

I wasn't aware of this. So do I need to create a menu entry to do this?

Elib/{author_sort:sublist(0,1,&)}/{title} - {authors:sublist(0,1,&)}
Elib is a directory in the root of the exposed partition. Inside that a directory is created based on the first entry in the author-sort list (this keeps the file paths shorter) and the file is created with the filename as title - first author in the author list (again, this keeps the file paths shorter).

There are limits on the number of directory entries in the root of a FAT32 partition which is why I use the Elib directory.
Ah thank you! That worked like a charm.

It turns out this was the step I was missing. Thank you very much.

Hello,

Happy to see some answers here

I'm using the calibre feature "Send specific format to device", then choosing KEPUB. (if exist it sends otherwise it converts them using - I think - the KePub Output plugin)
The template I'm using is : {author_sort}/{title} - {authors}
--> I'll try your template

Yes I can see the kepub files in Finder.
I'm currently running calibre 6.25. Sorry for mistake.

You can try signing out and then signing back in to regenerate the database. Any books that you've sideloaded should not be removed and will be re-imported after the procedure.

Before changing the template I did more than that, I re-set the device to factory settings

That seems a bit excessive to me. Are you sure you were properly ejecting and waiting until you got back tot he home screen before unplugging the USB cable?
