Error sending documents

Hello everyone! this is my first post and I apologize in advance if I'm not doing it right.

Well, I have installed the latest Calibre update and since then it doesn't send me the documents to my device. I have verified that the sending email was allowed, also the most "obvious" options, but it still doesn't send the documents and when I try to send an email, I get the following:
reply: b'535 Authentication credentials invalid\r\n'
reply: retcode (535); Msg: b'Authentication credentials invalid'

Could someone tell me how to fix it?

Exactly what is claimed.
You don't have the correct user name and password for the selected SMTP server (your ISP's one or hosting you have, or a GMX account will work, but google's SMTP won't work).

Thanks for your reply, that's what I don't understand, because I have a GMX account, which should work. But it doesn't!

remember your username is your full gmx email address.

Yes, that was the first thing I checked and it was fine. However, I got it fixed, I had to enable access via POP3 and IMAP again. Now it works as it should.

Interesting. That is about the 5th time I've seen someone mentioning that GMX has disabled POP3/IMAP without the user making any changes.

Google sent out a notice about idle accounts.
I bet they consider an account that does not RECEIVE , idle.
Folk that only use GMX for Calibre, might want to send that a email once a month or subscribe to a newsletter using that.

I had that happen just the other day, with the same error: "Authentication credentials invalid".

As I had never changed the password for this GMX account, which has an alias that I use occasionally just for Calibre, this seemed very odd.

So I decided to change the password on GMX, updated that in Calibre, and it worked.

I've had two different emails from Google about idle accounts multiple times, but not yet to all gmail accounts. The later version seems to suggest two years.

All as clear as mud.
