Hi, I'm beginner on Calibre and I just purchased a Kindle.

I set up everything on my Mac (I thought correctly) but I receive the below message when trying to send my document. Can you please help? (note that I'm beginner

Connection refused is pretty clear

Did you configure and test your mail server connection?
Did you register your mail host in your My Kindle account?

Yes, my email host is registered in my Kindle account.

When I test my email I receive the following message:

But did you configure FULLY the calibre settings for eMail?

For instance in my case, when I go to Preferences | Change calibre behavior and look at the Sharing books by eMail screen I see:

Send email from: xxxx@gmail.com
Hostname: smtp.gmail.com port: 587
Username: xxxx@gmail.com
Password: ***********
Encryption: TLS

A quick fix I found was to save the mobi file on my desktop and then send it manually to my inbox...

I'm using gmail so:
- For hostname, should I use smt.gmail.com as well?
- Is my port 587 as well?
- The password that I need to enter after is my gmail password correct?

Correct but note it's smtp.gmail.com and yes to the password
