Clara 2E Mysterious "Sandbox" Beta Feature

I recently noticed a new beta feature appearing on my Kobo Clara 2E. It is called "Sandbox", and is subtitled "Try something fun!". When I click on it, it brings we to a blank screen with a "Quit" button at the top. I cannot interact with the screen except to quit. Devmode is enabled obviously. I haven't been able to find any mention of this anywhere on the internet. I asked Reddit, and while some people have seen the feature, no one seems to know anything about it. Thoughts?

Very curious! I have that in my Beta Features on my Clara HD. It was non-responsive except for the Quit button. Same on my Elipsa. Not responsive, even to the stylus.

In programming, a sandbox is a contained space that isn’t connected to the system around it. Perhaps it’s a dev feature.

That makes sense! Perhaps it is just a space for devs to try out new things (bits of code, beta features, etc). Still hoping for some cool secret feature however.
