Series Sort
Can I possibly get a bit of help with series sorting? I’ve been using everything swimmingly until the most recent update then things went wonky & I don’t know how to fix it.
![]() I would like the books to appear as follows: Book title of first book Subtitle series info & book number But what’s happening is: Book series name & number - book title Subtitle series info & book number I hope that makes sense. A Discovery of Witches All Souls Trilogy - 1 Shadow of Night All Souls Trilogy - 2 But this is what appears: All Souls Trilogy - 01 - A Discovery of Witches All Souls Trilogy - 1 I’ll attach screenshots of what I’m using in the Kobo Extended Plugin. |

Kobo does Series internally (the second line if Subtitle is not present and configured.)
Kobo also has a Series Sort on the menu. It looks as if you are merging Series into the Title Note: You need to connect the Kobo a secon time for Series and Subtitle lines to appear. The book needs to be 'processed' for there to be a place (in the DB) to insert the additional data. |

The only template I use is the save template in the KoboTouch driver to set the filename. If you are using the KoboTouchExtended driver, you will need to enter the same information there. I don't use any templates that modify the title/series/subtitle of the book since my Kobos handle that information.
The template saves the books sent to my Kobos in a directory called Elib and then in subdirectories using the first entry in the author sort with the file named using the title and the first entry in the author list. The first entry just keeps the filename and path length under control. Code:
Elib/{author_sort:sublist(0,1,&)}/{title} - {authors:sublist(0,1,&)} Last edited by DNSB; 06-24-2023 at 10:41 AM. |

Really odd! I removed the sort coding and it’s back to the way it was before. *shrugs* I had that coding in there for years and it worked and then suddenly it didn’t. But it’s back to working so I’m happy. Thanks all!
