Preacher was great, loved that show too. My mind was throwing up some similarities with "A cure for wellness". It's nice to have some colourful content from the usual grey and too often mediocre offerings. |

Just watched the 4 episode "Our House" on PBS Masterpiece. It was awful. I usually like shows with Martin Compston, but this was like watching a slow moving wreck. The story, the acting, the production--all crap. That's pretty-much all I'm going to say about it. Except for a last "Wow! What a waste of my time."

Last night I watched The Pope's Exorcist, which Russell Crowe in the titular role. It wasn't a great movie, it was over the top, but fun and set up for sequels, which I wouldn't mind. There was some funny, lighter moments, which I like.
I also watched Prey for the Devil, again dealing with exorcism by the church. It was okay, again, set up for possible sequels. It took itself a bit too serious IMHO. |

Sunday I watched the last episode ever of Succession. I knew that there would be no particularly good ending, based on all that I saw through the series. I've been listening to various podcasts about the show.
I have watched two episodes (1-2) from Astrid S2 this week. Love this show. I started A Man Called Otto (Tom Hanks version). I wanted to start watching Happy Valley season 3, but while they had it on my Acorn app on my TV, it said to watch it with a free trial of another streaming service (Paramount + I think). Today I noticed on Amazon's prime page that they have the 1st episode and others that can be bought. I will try to Acorn ap again. I haven't watched anything on Acorn for a long time, but I've been paying for it monthly. |

We watched the Lidia Poët thing on Netflix.
It was...okay. It's based on a true story, of an early women's rights pioneer, the first female almost-lawyer in Italy (Turin). She graduated college, gradulated law school (such as it was at the time) and then yes, passed the bar and was entered into the practice thereof, but the Turin AG filed a lawsuit to have her struck from the Bar. Because she was a woman, no other reason. She was indeed struck; her appeals denied. I shan't say more, don't want to ruin it for anybody. It's highly fictionalized (she never lived in any mansionette or villa in Turin, for example), AND--more importantly, to me, like the sister-of-Sherlock-Holmes character, Enola, she's a Mary Sue (which always gets on my last nerve), but....it's fairly watchable if you like that sort of thing. Did anybody watch Freud? Also on Netflix? A fictionalized bit where he teams up with some psychic or medium to solve crimes? I started Ep 1 and didn't get very far, but if it's any good, I might be willing to do some more trudging... Hitch |

Now the first two episodes of Happy Valley are showing up in my Acorn app on my TV. I will start watching soon. I watched another episode of Astrid from season 2 on PBS Passport.

Earlier this week I went to the cinema to see Renfield with my sister. Was it a great film, no. But it was very entertaining. I loved Nic Cage as an OTT Dracula.
Otherwise I've been watching a lot of YouTube this week; spooky shows and two episodes of Critical Role. Tonight I might watch the Natalia Grace documentary on Discovery+. |

Approaching the end of the 'final' series of The Blacklist. A complex and sometimes too smart-by-half series that has kept me entertained for a while!

Watching "Rabbit Hole" as I randomly started watching it via a friend's when staying there. It's interesting enough to keep me watching for now.
Also watching/playing Zelda TOTK. It is just a very good expansion pack for BOTW, but the Zonai construction possibilities make it well worth the price tag. Endless silly fun from the bonkers contraptions you can put together. |

I'm watching the final season (9) of The Flash. Pretty cheesy (as always), but it's been fun seeing the guest appearances from all the other Arrowverse shows. Especially Stephen Amell as Oliver/Arrow-cum-Spectre.
"Ramsey Rosso: you have failed this city!" This is the last of the DC Arrowverse TV shows and I will miss them all (in one way or another), and all of their ridiculous crossovers and complicated interconnectedness. |

Binge watching the newer Star Trek series since Enterprise. Starting off with Discovery.
