My Aura HD had no buttons except the power switch. So many thumbprints on the screen.

I still what my bluetooth enabled device - a ring of something - where I can just move/flip/twist/whatever my hand to turn the page. Could even turn the page with the hand that is not holding the ereader.

I started out with a Kindle Keyboard and still use a PW2. I like that a mere twitch of my thumb will turn the page. If I have to go back a page, I have to lift my left hand - the effort is exhausting! - and turn the page back. Not to mention the inconvenience of needing to put down my beverage or sustenance of choice.
![]() Watching The Husband read is a bit of an amusing and eye-rolling experience for real. He likes to put his free arm down as he reads, then lifts it, makes a pointy finger, and *pock* taps the screen to turn the page. Every few seconds...*pock*... |

My Aura H2O has no page turn buttons. No fingerprints on the screen. What causes fingerprints is the captivate layer that gets fingerprints. So if companies went back to IR, we'd have a lot less fingerprints.

I've a Libra 2 and I can sit in bed and hold it with one hand and still be able to turn the page without using any buttons and that includes paging back.

Nope. I had a basic Kindle with an IR screen years ago. I could see fingerprints perfectly well.

I like how Amazon does it. With Kobo, you have to contact customer service to get them to reset your book. It's nice that any of vendors give you access to updates if you want them. With physical books you'd just have to buy another copy.

The spine is because of some weird obsession with making devices as thin as possible and still having to put a battery in there. For me it actually makes it harder to hold. I ended up putting a PopSocket on mine. I'm glad Kobo dropped that part when mimicking the Oasis design.

Personally I prefer it to the oblong shape, which has never felt quite comfortable to hold for me. The Oasis spine didn't bother me either, but the metal back did. I'm glad Kobo didn't adopt that, but I would have liked if they had kept the Libra 1 shape, instead of making the back of the Sage and Libra 2 completely flat (plus the Libra 2 is noticeably thicker). The Libra 1 was ergonomically perfect for me, more so than the Oasis. Unfortunately its screen was not particularly good, so I sold it after buying the Sage and the Libra 2.
