I've personally experienced (several times) the near disaster of the near instantaneous occurrence of ball-followed-by-child at speeds much slower than the legal limit. But you go right ahead and believe your reflexes to be infallible, and that your god-given right to drive right at the legal limit (posted or otherwise) without criticism is inviolate.

Oh, when you put it like like, it's now obvious that no cars should be allowed anywhere within 100 yards of a child. Each family should be able to set a "car free zone" around any home or school. Let's give them all a kill switch to stop all engines, and give any observer the power to arrest violators for doing anything that their infallible judgement says is bad, because, what could go wrong in this day and age with an irate stranger standing on the road, raging at a random driver? But parents should have no responsibility for teaching kids not to run in the street, THAT would be unreasonable. ApK Last edited by ApK; 02-20-2023 at 08:33 AM.

Yeah. Because that's exactly what I said (or even remotely implied). Have a nice day. I sincerely hope you never have to experience any tragic consequences for believing that anyone yelling at you to slow down while honoring the legal speed limit is always the one out of line. |

Sometimes it's not accurate, and self-righteous loudmouths yell at attentive responsible drivers without cause. And even though I clearly stated that speed limits are maximums, conditions permitting, you still accuse me of arguing for merely obeying the posted limit. And a happy President's day to you too, and the horse George Washington rode in on. ApK Last edited by ApK; 02-20-2023 at 09:08 AM.

Yeah, this has definitely sucked. Did anybody else here know that Cellulitis was related to, and can be caused by, Shingles? I sure as hell didn't. Pro tip: if you have Shingles and your leg starts to turn red, RUN DO NOT WALK to the doc and get antibiotics right away. Don't be like me and think, "duh, all that swelling is from the steroids." It's NOT. I would post a pic here, but I don't want any of you to lose your most recent meals. Hitch |

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what's the prognosis, Hitch? Are you seeing light at the end of the tunnel?

I think there's also a study linking shingles to increased stroke risk in patients with autoimmune diseases. Nasty little bugger.
