2.0 should be fine, go to the 3 dots next to the purchased book ions and look for a download as epub link. there's often a download as pdf options also should. you prefer that. choose that option and it downloads the usual licence file into ADE.
once it's in ade folder do as you usually do to get from there to calibre....

I cancelled a June Amazon preorder, instead preordered from Google Play books - slightly more expensive but hopefully I'll actually have a file instead of whatever Amazon is forcing. I just wish their selection was the same.

Hello new guy! I been using Calibre to rid DRM for years and sad to see the new change....Guess gonna be using Kindle till this get fixed question is....anyone working on it? Why did this happen?

The NoDRM team are disgusting it over on github. As to why it happens... only speculation, but the best guess IMO is to try to lock customers into the Kindle ecosystem. Skim this thread if you're inclined; last few pages have some discussion of motives.

It just works. It's simpler than K4PC which hasn't worked here for years. The Basic 2022 is actually very like a PW3.
Download and transfer via USB fails when doing it with a mobile browser. You need to do it from a desktop browser.

If you have DeDRM enabled, then the file will be unlocked for viewing. But DRM is not removed from the file (and so you cannot edit it) until you add it into the calibre library.

So I bought a Kindle, Download & transfer via USB, got an AZW3 file but when I try to convert it with Calibre it says cant decrypt the DRM. I installed the DRM Plugins and it worked before for books obtained via Kindle PC. If I understand it right the kindle pulls ebooks with the new KFX Format which is not supported yet? So I bought the Kindle for nothing? Would have to jailbreak and downgrade?
