Whether a book has DRM or not depends on the publisher, not on the store. If the book you want to buy has DRM in one store, it will have DRM in all the others too and there's no way around it other than to remove the DRM with the help of Calibre and the noDRM plugin. So in that sense it doesn't matter where you buy it.

In English, an "ebook store" is a provider (usually seller) of ebooks.

What you are calling "ebook store" most people would consider to be "ebook library".

Once DRM is removed, software that does ebook library management, such as calibre, can manage any ebook, no matter who sold it.

Well, except for books in that pesky KFX format.

An eBook store sells ebooks. Kobo, Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Smashwords/D2D, Google, Apple, Baen and ebooks.com etc all operate online stores selling books. You can go back and download what you bought before. Personal libraries they operate are an illusion. It's just a list of books you bought except on Amazon, where you can use Send To Kindle to give Amazon a copy forever. You can only send books that are NOT Kindle format and it does a worse job of conversion than Calibre. They could decide to scrap that storage any time. They've done it before. Madness to use "Send to Kindle".

No is the short answer.
Longer answer is it's crazy! It's possible to download DRM free ebooks (like from ebooks.com, or free from Gutenberg) and store them converted (messed up a bit and ONLY for download to Kindle) by "Send to Kindle", but not usually from Kobo or Google. Never from Apple, Barnes&Noble etc.

No. Apart from the slightly broken "Send To Kindle" which is inferior to your own conversion, storage and USB transfer, no Store does that. They are not "storing" copies of your books. They simply sell ebooks and let you download it again.

Calibre lets you search ebook stores. DON'T! It's main use is to store and manage copies of ebooks YOU ALREADY BOUGHT AND DOWNLOADED TO PC, not to device. Or Free ebooks. In about ten years of Calibre about 300 ebooks are bought and nearly 4,000 are free public domain titles.

“It's possible to store everything in Calibre”. Certainly Ebooks and PDFs.
You need to remove DRM to read an ebook on a different device to the one the sale was for, or convert it for a different brand of reader, or read on the PC or edit it. You can download with DRM and not remove it, but then you can only use the USB transfer to the exact serial number of ereader the book was bought for.

You still have to buy the ebooks from Kobo, Amazon, Smashwords/D2D, Google, Baen or ebooks.com and down load to PC. Forget Apple or Barnes&Noble, too awkward.

You also can download from a choice of almost 100,000 legal free public domain ebooks.

Store in this context refers to a Retail site where you buy books and not a place to Keep BOOKS (STORAGE, WAREHOUSE...).

My advice is always get your purchase soonest, and control where YOU store Your Copy (probably with the DRM gone as that might also go south at sometime)
Calibre is a great way to manage A Library (but as a brick & mortar , Library. The Librarian has set methods for a reason). Simple Libraries can usually get away with some file folders, but as it grows... being able to find books by Keywords or fragments of words is a + ( start now, doing catch-up is H3ll. I did the metadata only for my paperback collection in Calibre. About 1 YEAR of an hour+ a day working on it)

I have what I refer to as a Kindle eBook store and a Kobo eBook store and some questions.

!. Is it possible to move. eBooks from a Kindle Book store to a Kobo book store and vice versa?

2. Is there a Book store available where one may store every type of eBook?

1. Dazrin “I don't think it is really possible to move things between different vendor stores”.
If that’s the case I will dump my existing libraries and look for replacements using Calibre.
I’ve just discovered that it’s the Publisher not retailor that determines DRM or not.
Having looked at obtaining eBook, The Easter Rising. Michael Foy from Calibre they offered a large number of different suppliers. I’m now looking for one that will offer me flexibility such as no DRM.

2. Sirtel. “It's possible to store everything in Calibre”.
That’s what I’m looking for.

3. JSWolf. “You'll need Calibre 6 and the DeDRM p10.0.3 login that can be found at https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools”.
I found Calibre 6 The DeDRM appeared so complicated I ran away from it.

4. crossi. “There are restrictions used by Amazon that puts them outside of my customer base. I now need to find a program to remove DRM the store.

5. Tarana. Thanks for the backing up advice. I see that I will have to learn about it.

“The easiest way to find it is in the Settings page/menu on your Kindle.”

I opened Kindle and found nothing on the following.
I Went to File and only found, “Sync”- “New collection” - “Delete Collections” – “Duplicate collections” – Rename collection” – Import collection” “Add Remove book from collection” - Import a local PDF”. Exit

I then went to view and found. “Theme” - “Sort by” – “Cover size” None seemed any help.

I went to, “Go” which only showed “Library” so I went to Tools.

Tools showed, “Manage your contents and devices” I clicked on that and all it showed was, “SORRY we couldn't find that page Try searching or go to Amazon's home page.”
I gave up having got nowhere close to settings.
It looks as though I have to start at the very beginning and I'm not sure how but I will now have a look right through all the helpful suggestions on the whole three pages of this post.

"Easter Rising" by Michael Foy has DRM. You won't find a legal copy with no DRM. If you want to be able to copy/paste from that book without any restrictions, you'll need to remove the DRM, and you'll need to learn how to install and use the deDRM plugin, no matter how complicated. There's no other way to do what you want.

You have to strip the DRM off of the kindle to load it to kobo via calibre but you need an older version of kindle for desktop. Sadly kindle now forces you to update the desktop app which the new version prevents you from using calibre to remove DRM. There is instructions online if you google it but i find the whole process too time consuming

You have eink Kindles, so you won't need the Kindle for PC at all. Their serial number is enough.

I believe some people prefer to use a purchased program for stripping DRM.

Amazon may want you to update your version of K4PC or K4Mac but it is pretty easy(*) for either platform to block the update. This is rather well covered in the Dealing with Kindle for PC/Mac 1.19 and KFX in calibre stickied thread in the calibre forum. Once you have it set up which does not take that much time, the process is automated and takes no extra time.

* The pretty easy is in my opinion. Other's opinion may vary.
