Was looking to upgrade my eReader and thought Black Friday would be a good time. I saw that a number of Kobo's eReaders were on sale (up to $40 off) and that they have 12% cashback on Rakuten.com.

I'm already a big Kobo fan (and use cashback when I buy eBooks from them) but the eReader cashback is a huge bonus. Good time to buy if you're looking for a new device for yourself or as a gift!!

The last time I checked, the code PERKOPOLIS still was good for an additional 10% off Kobo ereaders.

I got an e-mail today with what appears to be a new gift card offer !
It is buy a $50+ (CAD) gift card, get $10 (CAD) card back. Limit one per customer, offer expires Dec 14th.
Same as the last gift card offer, except a different expiry date. Anyone tried it, and did you get the $10 back on the previous offer and this offer ?

Buy $40 get $8 in US on homepage.

I did receive the $8 last month. In less than 24 hours and without having to contact customer service. Well done Kobo!

I think this is one part of their service they've improved considerably. Up until this year, I've always had to contact Kobo to get the bonus $. The most recent "pay X get .2X" promo took about 12 hours, by far the longest of the 3-4 I've used this year. Most have come in within 4-5 hours, a big step up from previously.

Kobo’s got much better and Amazon’s gotten much worse. The last two times I didn’t get a promotional benefit from Amazon not only did I waste my time calling, the upshot was that CS told me they couldn’t do anything about it. So I’ve given up on Amazon promos now; if one falls into my lap, fine, but I’m not going to do any of those “spend money upfront and you’ll [probably not] get a bonus” come-ons again.

I went ahead and bought a $50 gift card, and I got the $10 gift card about 10 hours later. So I received two $10 gift cards from Kobo within two weeks !

Anyone have a feeling if Partners22 might expire at the end of the year? In other words, should I buy some wishlist books now?

Or can we count on partners23?
