Every time I’ve spoken to Alexa this morning, she’s responded by first saying, “Howdy. And good morning.” Make it stop! I’ve never interacted with her on a quote unquote personal level. Why, Jeff, why?
And a minor quibble in the great annoyance, howdy? This is New England! Fingernails on chalkboard stuff. |

I've not been blessed with the "howdy" yet. Can't wait.
![]() I'm currently in the process of getting cheated out of the previous generation Dot I ordered at the sale price of $24.99 this past Friday. Now unavailable, of course. They keep pushing the shipping date, and today I received notice that I need to indicate whether I still wish to wait (they don't know when, or if, it might ship). If you didn't have any to sell, you shouldn't have sold one to me. ![]() At the point of sale, it was supposed to be delivered the next day. ![]() |

Yeah. I'm pretty sure that's why they don't want to ship me a 4th gen. There was no indication when I purchased that supplies were running out, yet here they are trying really hard to get me to cancel my order.

I went directly to Amazon.com and logged in from there. The approval process seemed ... odd, to say the least. A "Thank you for approving" message was emailed to me after, but my Amazon orders page still shows that "Action is required on one or more of your orders." So that happened. Pretty-much no clarity on the issue. They immediately wanted to cancel the order and get a new one set up, but I stopped them when they confirmed that there was no $24.99 option currently available. She WAS able to confirm that they had received my "approval" of the delay (even though my account page still looks like I haven't), so I told them to simply let the order stand. I'll wait
Customer support's computers showed absolutely no time frame on when it might ship. I'm in no hurry. I'm going to to try and wait them out until someone says, "just ship him one for $24.99 and be done with it!" |

LOL! Yep, they pretty much do what they want. I'm pretty sure they think we are their pet humans and that they are in charge. Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my last little fur ball last week as old age finally took her at age 19. Too quiet around the house now.
