IMHO, the best option for the text images is to read on an iPad.

I bought a book on Kobo. When I imported the ePub (DRM-free) to Calibre, there was a typo in the title. Welp.

Then I looked up the publisher and found a bunch of "writers beware" type posts and then something about them shutting down.

Considering the publisher is defunct and the author is dead, I'm surprised the books still available for sale.

EDIT: Since I suspect someone's going to ask, Ridan Publishing and the StarBridge series.

To be fair to the poor billionaire lass (no doubt crying her way to the bank over my comments about the typesetting in the ebook)--I have to say I don't recall a book I've enjoyed more, recently. Yes, the chats and the tweets--those were tough going.

But she was positively excoriating the "live and die online" Twitter/et al crowd. I think that there are more than a few characters for whom the readers may have wished more "comeuppance," but overall, I enjoyed it. And her dissection of online living...lol.

I hope you like it. It moved along remarkably well, even with the bloody social media/images cruft, for a 1,000 page book. [shrug]

I can see that I fully expect this book to hit rough sledding with the fans, though. Nobody wants to be made fun of, after all.

I wish I'd been a fly on the wall of her agent's office when Jo Rowling sent this to be read, or the editors at...who izzit, not Bantam? Her publisher? Shew!
