Issues after updating to calibre 6.1 64 bits

			Hi,

I experience several issues after updating to calibre 6.1 - 64 bits no windows 10 : 1/ Kepub output extension does not work properly (Error "No module named 'PyQt4'"). This is now nicely solved thanks to davidfor's kepub output beta version (see this thread) 2/ Calibre is unable to properly launch the E-book viewer when clicking on a book in calibre (details of the error log attached), although the E-book viewer is properly installed and running when launched directly from the installation folder. (btw, I have uninstalled and re-installed Calibre, but this did not help, I also checked the path environment variable, which is correctly set to C:\Program Files\Calibre2\ ...) Thank you for your help ! Last edited by Denis_F; 07-21-2022 at 05:40 PM. |

Thank you for your help BetterRed. Unfortunaltely excluding calibre install folder did not help. I did some more experiments, and what happens is in fact more tricky : Calibre is unable to properly launch the E-book viewer only when the ebook format is KEPUB, but it works perfectly fine when the format is standard EPUB...

Thanks a lot theducks, this is indeed what I needed ! (in the previous versions, the viewer was set to read kepub by default, so I never had to set this option)

The viewer should be able to read any format. What AV are you using?

I should have been explicit before, you need exclude the C:\Program Files\Calibre2\ folder. BR |

I use the default windows 10 AV, and I indeed excluded the C:\Program Files\Calibre2\ folder, but this did not help...setting the options as indicated by theducks did the trick. thanks anyway for your interest !
