If you do not have a Kindle, you'll need to install Kindle. And for that, I suggest you read this thread all about Kindle. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=283371 If the eBook has DRM, you'll need the DeDRM plugin for Calibre to be able to remove the DRM. https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools |

You could start by downloading a free ebook with no DRM, say from Baen
https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Fledgling...dp/B00APAELRI/ And then a free ebook WITH DRM https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Fledgling...dp/B006XM426C/ Thus risking no money. |

As far as I've seen, Amazon does not supply KFX without DRM. If your device/application will handle KFX, that will be the preferred download. The workarounds are either to use Download and Transfer via USB or to use a K4* application with either no KFX support or KFX support disabled. |
