The "secret gesture" can be quite finicky and take several tries to get right. I suggest you have a look at this post from earlier in the thread for a more visual explanation.

I think some people have posted videos somewhere in the thread as well.

Couldn't make it on the PW4, firmware 5.13.6. The Get Started part doesn't make it reboot and I can't get beyond that, I've tried more than once from the start. If anyone could find the cure, thank you

You can use KindleBreak to jailbreak on 5.12.3, which is actually simpler than WatchThis. See the first spoiler here.

In your opinion which firmware should I update to? (5.14.2?).

I (got distracted and) did not follow step 8 immediately after step 7. I went back in like less than one minute and saw the device was rebooting on its own. After that, the device went into a locked-out screen/state of

I tried 'double-finger tap/double-fingertap bottom right then swipe left' a few times > I tried power-button-kept-down reboot >> dunno why but miraculously the third reboot folllowed by a swipe-up got me into the system instead of that locked-out screen!

So I went on with the guide by following along with what I had left off...until got stuck again at Jailbreak section step 7/8:

Has anybody found a way to remove the "Kindle Feedback" item in the library after performing the jailbreak?

When running 5.14.2 and later firmware this item doesn't show up in the library. But when I am running 5.13.6 it will not go away. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to be able to get rid of it.

Kindle feedback can be hidden temporarily / until next reboot:
