Hi,
I managed to jb my voyage running 5.13.6
I keep seeing posts for people using koreader on voyage but I am not able to install mrpi (saw some thread about missing dependencies) and hence KUAL on it. How do I use the jb on voyage for any good? None of the tools seems to support voyage

Just about everything should work on the Voyage.

To get help installing MRPI ask in the MRPI thread

Also make sure to get the correct version of MRPI by checking the

Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and everything should work fine. If you still have trouble, describe exactly what you did and and a copy of error messages. Nobody has telepathic powers.

After the Jailbreak, is there a proven way to revert to the old UI?
I have looked around, but haven't found "reliable" information.

I think I missed up with my kindle. I accidentally deregister it to solve an issue with Goodreads but I ignore that all my files will gone. I even lost access to (the file is gone ?) Kual. So I decided to restore the device and re-jailbreak but I always get "Update your Kindle" greyed out.

I can't even update using fw from amazon

What's wrong with me ?

After installing the jaibreak, you should install KUAL first, then you can install the screensaver hacks and other extensions.

None of which are interactive. Tapping on them does nothing. The only possible interaction with this screen is tapping the image on the background, which merely changes it for another one.

The so called "secret gesture" referred in step 8, doesn't work:

Namely, I'd like to read the source code and be able to reproduce the files in this post from the source code. Is the source code available for all of the files?

What source code ? Nothing is compiled here, just download, unzip, and review files with notepadplusplus for example ... But if you knew how to do that you wouldn't ask for a source code at all

Dude, you should believe people here. If you have doubt you can update your kindle and don't jailbreak it. We should thank devs for their time and effort to make things easy for us.

There is a .bin in the zip that is not plaintext. Is there source code available for it?

I appreciate the effort involved here. But I want to be cautious when running things on my device. Thank you.

Unpack the bin installer using KindleTools (download that from pinned Snapshots thread) and then read the shell scripts.

I have a PW5 on 5.14.1.1.

It was never used since purchase and had 5.14.0.1 until an hour ago. Followed the steps to the letter. Encountered the application error and followed the restart steps. After restarting, the "Get Started" button did nothing.

After a few restarts and different attempts to get it working, I deleted the ".demo" and loaded the bin back on and reflashed the kindle with the same firmware. Tried the exact same steps again and this time didn't encounter an application error.

Clicking on the "Get Started" restarted my kindle and now everything is in working order. Maybe someone else had this issue or not and this would help. Or someone else already posted this. In that case, I'm sorry for my laziness.
