[suggestion] Add the new Mark books button to search zone

The new Mark books button, with the improvement support of the named mark, is realy a super nice addition.
But a big User button is not probably the best. Okays, this is nice in the context menu, but on the toolbar... that seems over huge.

I suggest to add this button in the "Search" area, which seems logical to me because it is incredibly in this case, besides, there are already quick search tools integrated.
Of course, this button can be shown/hidden in the same way as the "Show toggle button to switch display search".
We still have the button, but smaller and more discreet.

If you find toolbar buttons too large, make them smaller in the preferences.

I love the big button on the toolbar, just for this one, it seems irrelevant (to me) to have it in the toolbar.
For other features, I would have found a solution, but here, with this Mark books, a compromise is maybe possible.

Note that you can add Mark Books to the context menu.

If this is implemented, personally I think it would make more sense to have marked books to the left of the search bar, next to the virtual library dropdown.

Sure, is the last solution if not. But, let's leave that aside, in this discussion let's focus on the "should we add the button in the search zone?"

Hum, maybe. Not sure. Ok, this would balance the distribution of butons in the area, but Mark books is much more oriented in a quick classification and research than the virtual library which is more durable (mark are reset to each restart).

Marking books has nothing to do with searching. I dont see why it should be on the search bar. Not to mention that putting it on the search bar clutters the bar with a function that is not useful to everyone.

You could make a case for it with the 'show marked books' option, but it's a bit stretching.

Why not put it on the menu bar. That is what I do with "stuff" that I use but don't need big buttons.

For some people the context menu is the first and only solution.

I have no toolbars, and I only have a menubar because I MUST put Preferences in a toolbar or menubar, even though I always access it with Ctrl+P and it's in my context menu Ψ³

I use the Favourites plugin for that
