I got the Mira today. It is a nice device for productive work.

The software is a little rough and it in fact doesn't work on a real AMDGPU (like the Ryzen 3750U). The graphics work with USB-C on a Radeon 6900XT. So the problems are probably only present for onboard AMDGPU graphics.

The mouse cursor is not that fast as I am used to with an LCD monitor. Still, it is enjoyable to have such a device for 'working' and reading.

The Mira Pro is still not available so we'll see about that. I suspect it works the same way, just a little bit 'bigger'.

And I will see if it works with an AMDGPU. Maybe I even find the time to debug the AMDGPU issue on Linux. ;-)

Some addendums

Working with that eink monitor is just another feeling. The picture is very stable and even with the enabled front light very comfortable.

Reading some news or information website is much more fun and smoothing for the eyes. I am very curious how that will work with the Mira Pro.

Hi, I was thinking of buying the BOOX MIRA 13.3”

I have to spend a lot of time working with my PC, in front of a LCD monitor. I already had eyestrain problems, and to top it all I lost an eye recently. Shit happens... So, my only good eye has told me: if you still have to spend 10 hours a day translating documents for a living, in front of that bloody light, I’m going to resign.

Well, joking apart, I would appreciate very much if someone who owns a MIRA 13.3” could answer some questions, please:

1. Could you use it just as a primary monitor, connected to a PC Windows?
My idea was to connect the MIRA to a barebone (I have two MSI Cubi). So, I don’t want to connect it to any laptop. I don’t need two monitors, just one to see my writing in Microsoft Word.

The problem is I haven’t seen any review or commentary about the MIRA 13.3 as a primary monitor. I guess I would need to connect it to my MSI cubi using the HDMI cable and also with the USB-C cable to power the monitor.

As the MSI doesn’t have any USB-C, I guess I would need to get a USB-C to USB adaptor. Too much guessing... As I said, I would appreciate some help.

2. Using it with a PC, is there some problem with the mouse when writing? I heard something about lack of precision or so.

3. Could you use it in portrait mode?
Sometimes, to write or read documents is that a better mode.

4. I live in Spain, and I’m not sure where to buy it.
I’ve seen this enterprise in UK, Ontrack Living Ltd., that sells Onyx Boos products.
But it does it through ebay:

I hope it is trusty, reliable.

Well, thank you very much if someone could answer any or all these questions.

Have you seen Voja/My Deep Guide review on youtube?
That's more of one hour, attached to windows, and he also rotated to portrait
