thanks i already know. i choose to highlight the main reason why i would be buy the Signature Edition if i wanted one. (which i don't) the PW5 is too big for my portability tastes

The Voyage is still slightly crisper without the front light.
For me things go this way now :
Voyage > Libra 2 >= Sage > PW5 >> PW4

The Libra 2 has a slight advantage over the Sage probably thanks to the lack of extra layer. The new Kobo line clearly benefit from the improvements of the new e-ink carta 1200.

I don't have the Oasis 3 anymore to compare sadly. But the good news is the new e-readers are getting closer to what the Voyage delivers.

No it's the opposite. The Sage is darker / greener.

The Libra really got a great upgrade compared to the so-so screen it had before.

Yes, I did have the Oasis 3. And while I liked it I also had some issues with it. I read while sitting at my dining room table a lot and when the Oasis is lying down its not flat because of the shape. And it's either leaning towards the left or the right. My OCD had tough time with that.
I also added a cover like yours (back only) because the back felt cold and the sharpness of the sides hurt my hands. But somehow I never really liked it with or without the cover. I kept putting it on and taking it off. Eventually I gave up and sold it. I've been reading on my PW4 ever since.

Now that Amazon introduced a flat, soft shaped 6.8" Kindle I couldn't wait to see how I would feel about it.

I think I will like the bigger screen in Paperwhite format. 😁
But if I find it too big to hold onto, it's going back. (Have to test it out for a few days).

I tried several Kobo Libras before and the screens were always this weird greenish color. Is that still the case with the new Libra?

The Sage is about the same as the new Paperwhite while the new Libra 2 is a bit whiter.

I've been comparing my new PW to my PW4 and while my PW4 is whiter and has more uniform lighting, the text looks crisper on the PW5. It looks closer to the surface.
