@principle Before Kobo supported series I used to use a metadata plugboard to rename books to (for instance) LOTR - 01 - There and back again

This meant I could sort the books by series / book order. The abbreviated series name was generated by calibre from the full series name

@NiLuJe: A few questions about the Elipsa:
  • Are gyro events still emitted (EV_MSC, MSC_RAW, MSC_RAW_GSENSOR_*)?
  • Can the initial orientation be retrieved with ntx_hwconfig? Does it also work on the Forma?

* Yep, it's the same accelerometer as the Libra, and the sane synthetic events are being sent (and rotated properly in-kernel to correct for sensor placement/device quirks).

* Not sure what you were thinking of there? If you were thinking of the `DisplayPanel` field, then AFAICT, no, it's not necessarily meaningful (here or on other devices).

I think you mentioned, in one of the FBInk commits, that the current gyro state that you compute via I2C, was also given in the outputs of ntx_hwconfig.

Oh, okay .

Yeah, that's just the name of the accelerometer part itself, if it ever gets too hairy to hard-code ^^.

EDIT: Note that, unlike what happens over I²C in there, you don't need to correct for anything with the MSC_RAW input codes, the kernel does it for you (i.e., what worked on a Forma/Libra will work on the Elipsa as-is) .

Max Margin and Max Font Size

Hello, first of all, I'm a huge fan of Plato.

I have incredibly bad eye sight and when reading in bed, I need the font size to be 'humongous', as well as read with narrow margins. The current max values for Margin and Font size are not enough for my needs. I know that I can permanently change the default values in the CSS and settings.TOML file but I wish to use the regular settings as well (when I have glasses on).

Is there a place to raise the numerical limit for font size and margin size for the UI?

Thank you!

Plato 0.9.18

I've released 0.9.18. Please note that the Elipsa is not supported yet.

If you need the margins to be narrow, isn't 1 mm narrow enough?

What font size (in points) would you like to be able to select?

What's your device?

Sorry for the confusion, I meant that I needed the margins around the text to be larger so the text column is narrower (see below image).

I’m not sure what point size would be ideal BUT below is an image with my ideal font size and margin width with Nickel, in contrast with what I can get in Plato within the UI. The size in the stock Kobo image is at half of Nickel's font size slider (it's ginormous on the biggest setting).

I'd stick to GL16 in the UI (basically, everywhere you'd be using AUTO), and leave GLR16 for the reader.

It's ABS_MT_TOUCH_MAJOR that gets elided .

@NiLuJe:

I've attached a binary of Plato that should run on the Elipsa.
It was slightly modified so that the initial view is Rotation Values.

Please follow the instructions and post the resulting eight lines of the form Tap (X, Y) (W, H) that you'll find at the end of info.log.
