What do the books look like when imported into calibre? If this is your calibre library, note that the underscores and spaces will make the titles not match. Find Duplicates works on calibre libraries not random file locations.

This makes me suspect that these are not legitimate copies of the ebook. From Amazon's (.ca and .com) webpages, the ASIN should be B08FXXWM63 not the B07RCCKH1L in your file names. |

Extension hangs or extreme slowness in one of the options
The extension is very efficient and works great (at least for my needs) but my library is very large (more than 32000 books) and when I choose in the book search options the ones shown in the attached image, the application hangs. I have tried to leave it more than half an hour, but it does not finish the process and it does not give any error either. With the rest of the options, the extension finishes processing in seconds.
I just installed the latest update, thinking it might fix it, but it made no difference Could it be a problem of slowness? That is, if I give it enough time, will it end at some point? How long would it be reasonable to leave it? Thank you very much and greetings. |

Always let it run until it crashes, that is the only way to know you have a problem.
Soundex may be the reason for slowness. That is a lot more complicated than Similar |

Try running Library Maintenance->Check Library, its first step is to clean (vacuum) the database maybe there's a lot of cruft.

Ok, I Checked the library, but with same results.
Tomorrow I'll leave the Pc switched during on all the day, and we'll see what matters. Today I tried for two hours, but Calibre only give me the shown message, that I think it's not an error message. Thanks for advice! |

That looks like an error from the OS saying calibre is not responding, I'm guessing MacOS - can you confirm.

True, it is a message from the operating system.
I have Ubuntu 20.04 and Calibre 5.26 installed The message appears approximately 30 seconds after the option starts running. All other options take 2-3 seconds to finish I have taken a few screenshots of the memory usage of the computer. As you can see, when that option is working, it takes up all the system memory. In the second screenshot you can see how resources are released when I close Calibre |

I forgot to comment. Thinking that the library DB was not right at all, I have rebuilt it (not just check it, which is what I did yesterday) but it has not had any effect.
