That's one of our faves, as it happens and around our family, it was cited a LOT whilst Dad was still with us, terrorizing neighbors, small children, deer and buffalo with his truck.

As I said, though--thank Odin that on his "street," 5 cars a day was a traffic jam, and the only place he ever drove himself was the P.O., 10 miles down the "street" and then...(breath-holding) across the highway.

I'm pretty damn sure that the Buffalo, antelope and other critters threw a party when Dad went to his reward, though. On the other hand, I was pretty convinced that if the dreaded anticipated Dad-versus-the-Buffalo event ever did occur, I was putting my money on the buffalo.

So for three days in a row, the record for the highest-ever temperature in Canada was broken in Lytton, B.C. On the fourth day, it was wiped off the map by a wildfire.

Horrible story, they got so very little time to evacuate (~15 minutes from first smoke visible until the entire town was engulfed.)

The stories mentioned one woman who got home and when she left 10 minutes later, the flames were less than 100 metres away and they are currently searching for some residents who are not accounted for.

There are still quite a few residents not accounted for, but it's difficult because everyone scattered in different directions. We can only hope they all made it.

how was everyone's holiday? mine was pretty good we went to my brother's and i got to see my niece and Nephew she's 14 and my nephew will be 10 this year. it was so nice to not have to wear a mask for a change, we've had all our shots and we were outside anyways. but it was nice to see them as i don't get to see them often enough

Here in California we just had to call 911. People on the next street over were shooting off illegal fireworks rockets. They were higher than the trees. They sent the fire department.
