I hope so, so far no other symptoms. I think it's probably my chronic problems, maybe allergies; I did walk along the canal yesterday, a lot of trees are planted along the canal. It might even be my snack last night. I had popcorn and I've had it happen that one of the skins got suctioned to my throat and cause problems.

It's boring though. Despite having hobbies. This afternoon I spend playing Animal Crossing and reading. Tonight I'm going to cross stitch.

I should get an email when the test results are in, then I can log into a website to read the result. If I test positive I'll get a call. Even though it's too early I keep checking my email. Last June I was also tested, I got tested at 10.15am and around 7.30pm I got the phone call the results were negative. Although a lot more tests are taken now, I keep my finger's crossed I'll get the results tonight or tomorrow morning. Officially it takes 24 to 48 hours.

The test result came back negative, which is positive news. However, I was suppose to get an email notifying me that my test results are available and I still haven't gotten that email. Yesterday I went to the Corona test website and logged on and no results were in, telling me I'll get an email. I logged on this morning, just in case, and the results were in. I'm glad I did, I was able to get out of quarantine and work like I normally would.

This morning my throat was still a bit sore, but that went away during the morning. Now it's just the normal level of irritation for me at the moment.

Second semi-related rant:
Since the throat doctor told me to cut down drinking fizzy drinks I have reduced it to one or two cans/glasses a week. Since I don't want to open a 2 liter bottle and having to throw out most of it because the fizz went away I order a couple of cans every couple of weeks. For yesterday's delivery I ordered 2 cans of fizzy iced tea. I got eight six-packs! I called the supermarket and they told me to keep it. Luckily they'll keep until January 2022, but it's not a good encouragement to drink less fizzy drinks!

Are they tea, or are they just fruity-flavored drinks? I'd love to put my hubby on something new. (Which makes it sound like he'll do something that I say--fat chance!)

To keep the fizz longer in a 2 liter bottle, put it upside down in the fridge. Make sure the lid's on tight and you may have to balance it in the back corner or door but it keeps the fizz from escaping as fast.

Excellent tip. The smaller the volume of air in the bottle when the cap goes on, the smaller the amount of CO2 that needs to come out of solution to equalise the partial pressures.

At the risk of going off topic, I don't think that's right. It's backwards. By squeezing air out of a 2 liter bottle, you're creating low pressure void space, which will pull more co2 out of solution to fill that space. It would only work if you put the soda in a smaller container that was totally filled by the liquid with no extra space. The only other way to keep the co2 in solution longer would be to repressurize the empty space with co2 (not air).

I just wanna say, it's abundantly apparent that we've all lost the plot. We've actually discussed, and created a thread, about keeping the fizzy in a bloody carbonated bottle of drink. (sigh).
