Android e-reader options?
Hello there,

I'm looking for a device to be used as a dashboard to show some info retrieved from internet, so I think Android is a nice option.

Which e-readers are using Android and are easily hackables?

Onyx and Likebook are not generally hackable (depends what you mean). Some of them can be rooted. Maybe an old Nook STR?

You don't need to root the Boox devices as they have google play support. Some for the Likebooks IIRC.

The Tolino Shine is super underpowered. It can be rooted but you'll be disappointed from their performance.

In this case, price is more important than performance, since it will be a simple webview with some data updated every n seconds.

A Tolino Shine 2 won't be enough?
