Calibre not starting after upgrade

Hi,
After upgrading Calibre it will not startup.
I have tried to start it in debug mode and get this error:

createDIB: CreateDIBSection failed (2246x1887, format: 6)

Any idea of what goes wrong?

Thanks.

@Evildon: On what OS

@jpj: Uninstall your distro provided calibre and install the official binaries from https://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux

I am using Windows 10.
I have always used a 64 bit version of Calibre. I did try to un-install and install again.

Given that this is happening on OS X, I would say there is some setting in OS X that's causing the problem.

You need to provide a little more information than "noting happened". I dont have a crystal ball. Open a terminal, run calibre there, post the error messages.

What does disappears mean? has it stopped running? Is it in task manager? Is it simply offscreen?
