I've been able to read one handed ever since the Sony Reader PRS-650. In fact, I just read for about 30-40 minute holing my H2O with one hand.

Page turn buttons do not always allow one handed reading. With the T1, the buttons were places near the bottom and they were not good for one-handed reading.

One last time, I did not say that I "want to do away with" touch screens, I said I wish the menu functions were accessible from the buttons. Expressing a wish for an option to be added, as I did, is not the same as wishing that existing functionality be removed. You, Mr Wolf, have chosen not to acknowledge this simple reality, and I have better things to do with my time than waste it endlessly restating what is already obvious to anyone not determined to pretend otherwise.

I’m actually curious how “I wouldn’t need to touch the screen” translates into “they should do away with touchscreens”.

Though I suspect it’s going to be your same logic for supporting micro usb over usb c. That is to say absurd and faulty logic.

Mini, Aura and Aura One. Had a Touch and a Glo as well but given by now.

The solution is so simple: If, like me, you live in mythic splendor then just hire someone to turn the pages...while you eat chips and drink wine.

You must be a master magician with such dexterous hands

Maybe it's the way I hold the reader, but if I move a thumb or finger the balance becomes all wobbly.

I've gotten over page turn buttons. I didn't exactly read paperbacks with one hand, so touchscreen only leaves me no worse off than I was. But I would like a reader with buttons. The Glowlight 3 was snatched away from me the moment it came in the door

I want a 6" screen, otherwise the Libra would likely work well for me. When I read paper books, I far preferred mass market paperbacks. Reading a trade paperback or hardcover always made me feel slightly distanced from what I was reading. That's why I stick with the 6" screen instead of something slightly larger.

Yeah, it depends on the buttons. I'm not sure I would like the ones on the Pocketbooks. They've always seemed awkwardly placed. The ones on the Voyage would work for me.

The Nook ST had those big rubbery buttons that you could easily rest a digit on and not worry about accidental page turns. I know some on here have whined a time or two about the ST's rubbery bezels and buttons, but they worked for me.

I was actually referring to the key word used to name the device (ie the sometimes made-y up-y word, but always the word that is the key part of the name, rather than a number, an edition, a waterproof version, a higher resolution version, etc). I was comparing the last four devices using alternate words to Aura in their names, and listed those words.

But nitpick away, if you like, I wasn't totally clear that that was what I was doing.

Barbarian! Feeding yourself. I lie back and have someone feed me while I turn the pages. A wouldn't let the lowly scum touch my books!
