Updated my calibre to 4.19.0 today Also updated Find Duplicates. Big mistake, tried adding 6 books to calibre to convert as usual. It was unable to find the metadata of any of them Had to revert back to an older version of calibre. Has anybody else had the same problem? But you know what they say: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Last edited by book64; 06-23-2020 at 07:25 AM. |

Does "unable to find the metadata" mean when you tried to download metadata for the books, none was found? If so, that will depend on the metadata sources you use and whether any had the books you were looking for. Or the metadata that you had matched close enough to be considered a match for the book. If you only use a small number of sources, it could be the sites have changed and the plugin has to be updated. There have been a couple of reports like that in the last few days. I can't remember which other than that they were non-English site. And I haven't noticed any problems with the sites I use. If there are problems with the metadata download, the log should show the errors. Post that and we can have a look at it. |

Am now using an earlier version of calibre. Uninstalled that version. Everything is working well But I am wary of updating it again. Sorry should have saved the info it said. They were well known books so that wasn't the problem. As the metadata shows now in the earlier calibre fine |

I don't think so, but without details of the error its hard to say If it's a calibre generated message there should be a button to copy the message to the clipboard, then you can paste it here. Much easier than screen shots for you, and much easier for us to read - win-win. BR |

I suggest reinstalling Calibre 4.19 and doing what you did before to get the errors so you can post them here so we can take a look and see what might be the problem. Also, what OS are using? |

Calibre never ever has been a threat and to make it so means the AV software is garbage.
