Is there a working calculator extension for a jailbroke PW4 , 5.10.1.3?
I've tried this one: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=100253&d=1359425966[/URL]. It put a "Caculator" button in KUAL but when the button is pressed it just went to the home screen.
I also tried this one: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...0&postcount=38 with a similar result.
I've installed MRPI, KUAL, gawk, python, linkss and BatteryStatus successfully but can't get a calculator ext to work.
Am I wasting my time?
Oh, and thanks ever so much to the folks here who've made it possible for me to get this far!

The first one requires Tcl/Tk, which is available in the originating message.

No guarantee it will actually run, but, at least it'll have a better chance

The second one is written in PyGtk, so, there's a whole host of reasons it could be going kablooey.

Thanks for your response. So I extracted "etcl-1.0.1-linux-arm.tar.gz" to kindle root and "calc.zip " to KUAL extensions folder, restated 2X and same result or did I miss something

That sounds like the way to go.

No way to tell what's going awry without either running the thing manually in a shell, or looking at the KUAL logs in a shell.

Unless you did something obvious wrong, which doesn't look like it, especially if you've got other extensions running fine, there's probably nothing much you can do about it, and it's just a case of bit rot.

What are you calling "kindle root" or describe how you are accessing that location?

Galculator works on my PW4 as well. - Many thanks, my life is now whole and complete (for the time being anyway).

@knc1,

"kindle root" = highest directory on kindle accessed through usb on MacBook.

A user is reporting that the standard screensavers on PW4 are no longer at /usr/share/blanket/screensaver.
Does anybody know the new place? I have no device to check this out.
