Rating column keeps coming back
I hide the rating column and every so often, it appears. How can I get rid of rating forever so it never comes back?

Do you use the View Manager plugin, if so make sure its not checked in all views for all libraries.

Why do you want to hide the rating column? I thought more information was better.

It has to be something like this. Ratings is part of EACH Library (db) and would not change like it would because of a corrupt user setting (in the config folder)

To me 5 stars is 100% PERFECT, and no one human is. I once asked Amazon reviews Help, for guidelines for their review categories. No clue. I used to run the Test Equipment Calibration program for my employers. There is this thing cal 'Standards'. Everyone's Volt, Amp, MM, Gram, CC, is IDENTICAL, not wildly subjective like 'Ratings' |

Not all measures are the same, US pint is significantly smaller than UK's, same with other fluid measures - not sure why - continental drift maybe ?

The one that really made me roll my eyes is when I ordered from amazon a teapot and it was listed as 6 cups I think. When I got it I thought there's no way it could hold 6 cups. Further investigation revealed that for a teapot the "cup" is a teacup, which is 6 ounces, not 8. Metric is so much easier because everything is just a number, and to make it easier 1000 milliliters of water (a liter) weighs 1000 grams, a 1-to-1 correspondence. |

I want to list which stories might deserve re-reading, and which don't, and which reference books contain useful and reliable info, and which don't. I don't see the point of downloading someone else's ratings, though. |
