Calibre help
I use Calibre to convert my ebooks from epub to mobi. I have a Kindle Oasis.
In the past when I went to convert an ebook it would have at the top of the Calibre window....converting from epub to mobi. Now when I go into convert and ebook it has convert from epub to epub. How do I change this.

After you click the convert book button look in the upper right corner. Change the Output format to the format you want to convert to.
Usually you get a faster response if you ask in the Calibre Section.

What do you mean sideload?? Is it better to use AZW3??

Not Useless
Sideload (USB or via SDcard) leaves out Amazons (format) restrictions.
AZW3 is a more modern (rendering features) EPUB in a wrapper (see MR's wiki formats for more info)
You can UPLOAD to Amazon, but not an AZW* for wireless delivery

Data can be uploaded directly from a general purpose computer to a kindle. The term sideload does not provide any information different from upload. Copy is also just as useful and maybe better. Uploading and downloading is copying to or from a remote computer. I'm guessing sideload originated since the target is not remote. Falling back to the term copy would be even better since it wouldn't confuse people. I stand by my assertion the the term sideload is useless. I might be persuaded that it is worse than useless.

Use the USB connection (or sneakernet the SD card). Commonly found along one of the sides on the device.

MOBI WAS WHAT EARLY KINDLES USED. IT WAS VERY LIMITED IN FORMAT OPTIONS (but the big A does not allow you to use it (mail) on their network if they did not sell it to you)

Sideload means pushing the file to your kindle from your computer, probably using calibre's send to button. AZW3 is the latest Kindle format that calibre can convert to and is better than mobi.
