Random letters in bold...

Hey all...

I've converted from epub to mobi, and all is well, except this one weird thing.

You can see the "k" is randomly bolded. it isn't in the code, just in the preview. It shows up in epub, and not mobi. If I change the "k's" to "j's", they are unbolded. Part of the title on the page is in bold, like every 3rd or 4th letter as well.

Any thoughts?

that looks like a font issue in the editor preview panel, for some reason the italic k glyph is coming from a different font than the rest of the italic glyphs. It's likely something highly specific to your computer, so I wouldn't worry about it, just test it on another device to make sure.

Does the K and k, ONLY, be surrounded by <span ... or <b> tags??

no, there is nothing in the coding. if i change the "k" to a "j" it is automatically unbolded.

Then it was as Kovid said. A bad set of glyphs.
