because for me i have the max one and i barely use it because it's so slow...
editing text, reading rss feeds, browsing large web articles, using evernote, reddit apps, forums with tapatalk, pocket app, etc.

It's really another world between i.MX 6SoloLite and RK3288. What in the first happens like falling drops off a bad faucet, in the second is flowing like falling dominoes and you can almost hear the "frrrr...rrrapp" (the parallel comes from the rendering of coverpages in Librera).

seems like sd cards are a thing of the past for any new ereader, I wouldn't have hopes to see on them again.

Also given that they could be simply required for some uses, I would move the framework towards lobbying.

Hi,

I have Max 1 and its battery is about to die. From a month at beginning to one week after one year, it dropped to one day after 2 years. Now I use external battery to prolong reader usage.

I think about buying Max 2.

First, I would ask what is your experience with battery life after full charging of Max2/Max 2 Pro – no wifi, only pdf reading.

Second, is it Max 2 Pro worth 100 $ compared to Max 2? I know that it has got double memory, but is there any noticeable impact of 4 GB RAM on Max 2 Pro compared to 2 GB RAM on Max 2?

Appreciate your opinions.

I have the Max 2 Pro Ltd. Edition (white, 4 gb ram and 64 GB storage) for the past 6-7 months. I briefly owned the Max 2 with 2 gb ram and returned it to get the max 2 pro with 4gb ram. Reading large pdf and many apps run faster on my device with 4gb of ram. I am able to use microsoft word and excel more fluidly on Max 2 Pro (with 4 Gb of RAM). In my experience there is an edge and I appreciate. However, if you are only going to use it for reading then I am not sure if you would see it. I also found that the monitor mode was better (but this could have been the cable who knows.). The screens are identical.

I think they have the same batteries. With wifi turned and blue tooth turned off for reading usage the battery lasted couple of days (4 hours of reading per day minimum).
