This year the weather seems to be reversed, unlike you up north of Europe we in the south had a summer with temperature below the norm, and even rain up north in some places, now we have a heat wave coming that is supposed to last until Saturday, so all those tourist at the beach will be happy. Up until now everyone complained that the summer was very mild, now everyone will complain it is to hot.

They're now predicting 30C+ for the next three days. Then two days of slightly cooler weather and on Tuesday and Wednesday again 30C+, maybe even 35C+. Luckily, they do predict relatively cool nights of 14-17C, last week there was one night the temperature didn't drop below 24C.

Today it's a little bit warmer than yesterday, but it's easier to deal with since it isn't as sweaty as it was yesterday. Especially in the city center it was bad, a 10 minute bike ride at my friends' place it was less sticky.

Another warm day. Though there wasn't a lot of wind it wasn't sweaty. Hopefully it'll cool down inside during the night despite not much wind.

For next week another hot couple of days are predicted. For Tuesday most predict 31-32C, but one predicts 37C

, and the bad thing is that they are often correct. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed they are wrong. From Thursday temperatures are set to drop to more reasonable number and are set to stay there.

We're flooded in down here in Chapel Hill. Its the joy of the creek system. Glad I got groceries this morning because there is no getting out of our neighborhood now.

Nice weather here for Texas in August. Bright sunshine, 35 C, and humidity below 20 C. Even a little breeze. Wish I were outside, instead of inside and working. . .

Allegedly not again until Tuesday. We took our weekend jog out on Bolin Creek this morning around 7. You can see where the creek overflowed over portions of the trail, and there was still some dangerous slippery mud. We actually walked past a very clear set of handprints where another runner had fallen and caught themselves.

It was muggy as hell, but still tolerable. The overcast skies are at least keeping the temps down.

A transition day. We had heavy rains overnight, ending mid-morning. Then it was cloudy.

Now it's intensely sunny with temperatures peaking in the low 90s ( F), slight breezes, and high humidity. This weather system seems to be blowing up the coast -- I think we're half a day behind poohbear_nc.

During the night it was windy from exactly the right direction and I didn't have to turn on the fan.

It warmed up good during the day, but it was a little bit cooler than predicted. It did get muggy after 4pm, at least in the city center. At my friends' place it wasn't. Due to a stronger than predicted wind it cooled down quicker than expected and it was a very pleasant evening.

Tomorrow it's going to be cooler, but on Monday and Tuesday temperatures of 30C and over are expected. Wednesday is slightly cooler and from Thursday onward temperatures are going to be average to a little bit over average for this time of year (22-25C) and it will stay that way for a while.

Yay, I'm very fed up with these temperatures. I have trouble sleeping, it's too hot to do anything except in the early morning and my muscles and joints get tired quickly.
