No. Apparently multiples of every model Sony ever made. I feel sorry for the poor things, no one is bidding on them.

Here's how my brain "works" on this subject ... I'm trying to find a complete "set" of the x50 series (I've got two 350s (as of today) and a 950). But I already had a 300 and a 600 – so almost the complete 00 series. So Shop Goodwill had the 900 up for auction (in lighted case) and no one was interested in bidding for it at $8.99. I have no need for it, but it's only $8.99 plus s/h and it would complete my 00 set. So it goes downhill from there (even though I was going to get rid of the 600, probably still will). It's a sickness. And the 505s, they're so nice and no one wants to bid on those, so somehow, I've ended up with two of them (the second one was in nicer condition, I think, I haven't gotten it yet) ... a sickness. (At least I've been able to resist bidding on the 700 (so far) that keeps coming back up for auction.)

Well, you could have a lot worse addictions than old e-readers! And $8.99 is truly cheap.

You cannot read 50 shades of grey because your Reader only has 16 shades of gray.

Before I bought my first Reader, I would go into the bookstore and buy 4-5 books in one go. Then when I got down to 1or 2 books, I would go back and buy more. Of course, I did also use the library so I didn't always go to the bookstore to buy books.

Just purchased a Voyage 3g (120 with lime Origami cover) in addition to my Oasis 2 for quick reading bursts when out and about. I have to admit that I find the Oasis 2 rather annoying to carry around in a jacket pocket and I also still haven’t found a proper cover for it...

It starts to add up. But usually I end up waking up one morning, temporarily coming to my senses for some reason, and selling or giving away several of them. I've done this before with Kindles when I was finding them cheap in pawn shops. If you clean up the eReaders, update and verify that they're working you can usually pay for about two (sometimes three) of them by selling one. So it can almost "even out" if you actually do sell some of them.

I don't know. I don't think there are many as stupid as I am about it.

I've bought more eReaders than books this year. Actually I don't buy many books – mostly read ones from the library. The books I do buy are those that are in public domain but have been cleaned up and turned into high quality eBooks. I figure it's well-worth the $1 or $2 or $3 not to have to deal with half finished ePubs and mobis at Gutenberg. It's also a big reason I use Amazon, because they seem to have standards that B&N doesn't. A lot of the public domain books B&N sells for the Nook are just taken directly from Gutenberg and sold. I think I've run into a couple from Kobo like that as well. Feedbook and Manybooks seem to have high quality public domain ePubs also.

Try Standard Ebooks. They offer very nicely formatted PD books. Their library is currently small, but their quality is high. I've become an evangelist for them.

Man, and here I am agonizing and dragging my feet about whether I should spend $60 on a Glowlight Plus. I'd really like a waterproof reader. But my Aura works just fine and I can't justify another reader.

When the "new" 505 came in today my wife went through my eReader collection and put a numbered sticky note on each one of them. I think it might be time to start culling the herd.

I think I would rather put some of them in their boxes and find enough paper books to cull to free up enough bookshelf space. In suitable covers, no boxes required.

I have a blue 505 in a lighted cover kicking around the house. It's just too old for me to throw over my Aura for it. But the build quality is fantastic.
