Which output profile for converting to Pocktebook Touch HD?

			Hi,

I'm not sure whether to post this here or in the Devices subforum. I'm getting a Pocketbook Touch HD for Christmas (yay!) and I'm starting organising and converting my ebooks to transfer them to this new device (I'm currently using a kindle). In the bulk convert options, I have to chose an output profile (in the Page Setup tab). I think "Generic e-ink HD" should be OK, but if anyone has advice I'm willing to take it! (I read somewhere that Calibre offers support for pocketbook touch HD but it does not appear as an output profile - I guess it's support for sending books on the device or something like that? I run Calibre 2.83). |

I'm not sure I understand your question. Anyway, I succeeded in creating epubs with this output profile, but I couldn't test them on the touch HD as I'll only get it at Christmas. |

You do know that if a driver for your device is created, to use it, you will have to update to the latest version of Calibre?

I do know that, but from what I read the support was added in a version older than the one I run. Anyway as I read mainly novels I guess I don't need something really specific to my device for conversion.

I believe that all that the output profile does is set parameters related to image size, and is mostly used by the recipe subsystem.

Set the output profile to tablet or you could get resized images which you do not want.

Also, have a read of the following thread and follow the directions to get your device added to Calibre. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=118560 |
