The email address that got me action was: lriggio@bn.com I got it from this site: https://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-12360 (I emailed on the sixth and got a call back yesterday, the 8th. I just hadn't checked my voicemail until today. She did call back again today, so there was follow-up.) |

I too called B&N about this today and got a call escalated. They claim someone will get back to me. It's good if enough of us reach out and maybe we can get our message accross.
The thing that I don't understand is that there is a guy on another forum who claims his NG3 is not partitioned, and he posted a screenshot. https://goodereader.com/blog/electro...ok-glowlight-3 By the way, I see that B&N changed the online specs for the NG3. It now says the memory is partitioned. I hope this is not the end of how they plan to handle this. But I'm not sure if a partition is even addressable in a software update. There are maybe four or five apps that I would want on an Android e-reader. That's it. And they all are about reading. The problem is that the one I would use the most is also the most demanding as to hardware and Android version! Oh well. I can run that app on another device, of course, but it would be easier to have it on an eInk e-reader.
Other than that, bring on the books! Then, with what money I have left, I can eat. |

The do it with books too, putting the Kindle Unlimited price in big print and making you look for the real prince in fine print. I'm a big fan of Amazon in general but I've sent them a couple of complaints about these practices. They're deceptive and despicable. Well, since, at 77, I've shrunk all the way down to 5'4" tall, I guess saying I'm a big fan is a bit deceptive, too. ![]() Barry |

I'd like to have Dropbox on my ereader. I can access it with my Kobo but it's troublesome and painfully slow. Still it's good to have it there.
As for the partitioned memory, 1 gig is more than enough for me. I don't keep a large number of books on my devices. I doubt if I've ever reached 100 meg but I'm not really sure of that. Still, the idea of all that wasted memory is irritating. My guess is that I'll eventually get one but I think I want to see it before I really decide. Barry |

For the moment, I'm glad I actually got a response at all. I'm not holding my breath that there will be any change, but hey, someone listened. |

I owned (past tense) a couple Kobos (the original WiFi and the Glo). I wasn't thrilled with either because the software seemed laggy, the screen seemed unresponsive and (for some) every time there was an update it seemed a feature was lost or something went wrong. I didn't have any real problems with updates, but I saw others' horror stories and it ticked me off when they took away Chess on the Glo (which was a feature they advertised). I'm guessing the newer Kobos have gotten past most of this (I don't know, I'm not in the market for one). But my point is, despite my negative experiences with my Kobos, I don't feel the need to post constantly about them in the Kobo forums. I understand that some folks love their Kobos and that's great. I like the fact that there is choice. I just don't care much for Kobo (neither for the devices or the online market). I still consider the Nook Simple Touch (with and without Glowlight) to be best ergonomically designed eReader that I've ever used. And I like the UI and software (actually I like it better than the newer Glowlights' software). This is why I was excited to see the GlowLight 3 mimicking the design of the NST. Thanks for writing to them. I hope the changed description for the GlowLight 3's storage specs wasn't their final answer. But (being a pessimist) I'm guessing it probably was. |

For you Calibre users, the latest Calibre version has a driver for the Glowlight 3. I had just posted the info to Koyid yesterday. I'm impressed!
