Today is laundry day. No complaining here. I love my washer. I could use a dryer but it probably heat this place up and it's warm enough in here.

There are wet clothes everywhere. On the drying rack, on the laundry rack. We actually have two laundry racks and one drying rack but hubby has decided to use his laundry rack for hanging his dry clothes like a closet. He tried to steal my other one but I won't let him. They do take up some space. I keep mine in front of the window and put a heavy blanket on it when not in use to block out the sun.

Good luck!

My son used to get migraines, preceded by auras. He would usually get them from spring through fall. They tapered off by the time he was eleven or twelve, but they were intense -- especially when he was a toddler and had a hard time telling us what was happening.

Awww poor fellow. I get them often since moving back Missouri. I have year round allergies too since being back here. I'm sensitive to light and smells.

Hubby's are rare though. He's better, going through the hungover stage right now. Mine's dull enough that I was able to get some things done. Laying down now resting. I've got something going on with my left eye. Two weeks now. I was told pink eye but it never developed like they said. No discharge, no redness, just pain the corner of my eye. The lid part feels scratch and sometimes itchy.

I just booked my trip to Newcastle. I'm really looking forward to it, it's been a while since I've been to the UK and a lot longer I've been on my own.

I also treated myself by ordering a mini fridge for in my studio. I've been wanting one for a while and today I saw that the one I had my eye on was €40 cheaper than yesterday, so a good excuse to order it.

The Sandmand Signature Hotel. And I decided to splurge and go for the studio with kitchenette.

I don't know that one, but having a kitchenette sounds good if you're travelling on your own - only so many times it's comfortable to eat out on your own

It's near the Royal Victoria Infirmary and looks out over the football stadium. When I'm on my own I tend to treat myself to a nice lunch and for dinner I usually get a salad or something from the supermarket. It's nice to be able to make something warm if I want to. Plus, I can make my own breakfast (breakfast at the hotel costs €17, and I don't eat that much in the morning).

I've already started on my UK shopping list

I just discovered that the big new cinema nearby has a midnight showing of Stephen King's It on the day of its release! Friday is my half day and I've already arranged that I'll work in the afternoon and not in the morning.

And I just realized that the showing is on Thursday midnight, and due to our consulting hour I can't take the morning off on Thursday. I'm still going, though. Only real fans will go to a midnight showing on a weekday, it'll be too much fun to pass on.

Driving 71N in Ohio after a few days in Louisville KY.

Met an author while we were there. We were on a Walking Tour of Old Louisville, and she was walking to her front door. She greeted the tour leader, and introduced herself. She actually invited the group (6 adults) into her home, and let us see the main floor in her lovely Victorian home.

Her name is Sena Jeter Naslund.

It was really cool...and very nice of her. The young tour leader said that has never happened before.
