We'll, we just got another $5 that we weren't expecting.
Apparently the gift card reload that got us the $10 also counted as a gift card purchase and got us as another $5. (This one was on my wife's account. )

They are good towards ebooks. If you are referring to that "Kindle editions" balance that probably shows as zero, I have no idea what that means, but it's apparently unrelated.

Thanks, good to know. I certainly wouldn't find $15 worth of digital music. Video, maybe.

It's good on physical stuff, too, of course. The digital page is just the easiest way I know to see the balance.

Prime day was a disaster for me, as far as Amazon digital products. The Fire was a ridiculous $25; how could I resist. I said it had slightly better resolution, and so I bit. Then the 8" was $50, with a $10 rebate if you ordered with Alexa. So now I have a Tab 2, 2 7" Fires, an 8" Fire, and a 10" Fire. What is wrong with me (rhetorical question, don't answer). Good thing is all my Christmas shopping is done, between Prime Day and Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which was the next day.

Thanks to everyone who posted deals during the Prime Day sale! I checked this thread frequently on July 10th and 11th.

My Amazon Prime Day purchases:

Fire HD 8 tablet (cost $49.99 + tax; earned $10 Amazon credit since I bought it using Alexa voice)
$9.99 ebook (purchased with no-rush shipping credits; earned a $4 Amazon book credit)
1 nonfiction paperback (used $4 credit earned from ebook purchase above plus earned another $5 credit)
2 pairs shorts, 1 sweatpants, 1 hoodie (only $16.58 total after 30% off & use of $10 Alexa voice buy credit earned above)
Titleist golf bag at 50% off retail price
$25 gift card (earned $5 Amazon credit, which I spent today)

Total Amazon credits earned/spent: $24 (plus $2 in no-rush shipping digital credits)

Has anyone else not received the gift card credit yet? I haven't, and the page with the terms of the promo is gone--it just says sorry, the promotion has expired.

I found a cached version of the page with the offer, in case anyone else is in my same boat.

Reading through the terms, I'm going to give Amazon another day--I had a physical card shipped to me, and they're saying it can take up to two days from the ship date for the promo to be applied.

I got the gc credit, but I didn't get the Alexa credit. I hate having to battle for these things; it makes them a lot less valuable, what with the loss of time and the lack of certainty that you'll get it ultimately.

I got all of my credits without any problems, except one. I had to fight to get the $10 Prime Video credit. The rep didn't have a clue and kept telling me the wrong terms. But I'm prepared for that because I always take screenshots of promo terms so I have the exact wording in front of me if I have to call CS.

After lots of back and forth, which included him having to talk to his lead twice, I finally got the credit. What's amazing is that they always seem to have difficulty finding the terms. He even asked me to send him the screenshot I took but found the terms while I was verifying his email address.

Amazon brings this upon themselves by not abiding by their own terms. It makes for some rather disgruntled customers.

It turns out that my angsting over the credit was premature; I just received it. I am still greatly annoyed about delayed orders, but they are clearly due to the post office; once again, the packages I waited for all day did not arrive, yet the tracking info mysteriously now shows a delivery attempt failed because there was no safe place to leave the packages. A lie, since I was home, no notice was put in my box, and packages are left safely all the time. The truth--I believe--is that the packages got overlooked and/or it got late and the driver wanted to go home, so he/she didn't finish the day's deliveries.

I get that they probably were deluged with Amazon packages, but I wish they'd just admit to a delay and not lie to me and pretend they tried to deliver my stuff. The lie just makes me angrier.

UPS did manage to deliver one of my packages, though.

I bought an LG G6 US997 version, or so I thought. I just got it and it's the Tmobile version. I saw a lot of reviews complaining that they got the Tmobile version, but theirs was sold by Synergy. Mine was Sold by: Amazon.com LLC so I figured I'd be fine. Now I have to return it.
