I think this is a publisher thing. I've checked a few on fictionwise and they have the same issues. Very annoying.

Totally bizarre. I paid $24 at Diesel for the latest Starfist Novel by David Sherman in early January. That equates to over AU$30, which is about the same price as the hardcover here.

I still don't understand WHY other publishers are not using the Baen model for ebooks. Seems most successful (I am a regular netscriptions buyer) with DRM free, multiformat choices.
