Seriously, we've been through this hundreds of times in the last 8 years; there is zero financial gain for Amazon in supporting consumer-side epub. And, considering their other advantages in ebook selling, it's actually good for competitors that they don't. If they started selling epub it would likely push theur already-dangerously high market share into near-monopoly range.

It's best to leave bad enough alone.

You're doing it wrong.
Or using the wrong kind of bread.

I make several kinds of avocado salad sandwiches using Italian bread. Instead of cutting it lengthwise, you cut the end section and stuff it along the middle. It acts like a bread bowl.
No drip, no goo.

Lots of cookbooks have suitable recipes. Here's one, healthy and season appropriate:

I've seen that used to refer to what are also called Epub2/3 ebooks. Epub3 in the version, no use of features that aren't common to Epub2 and Epub3 and both navigation (table of content) documents.
