Dumb things I used to think or do

When I was younger I used think when a book had New York Times Best Seller on it that the author worked for the New York Times

So what kind of dumb thing(s) have you thought or done?

Now I know no one else can be that dumb, so this will probably be the only entry in this thread.

I keep wondering how they got on the NYT Bestsellers List! Most books on those list are only good for 1 thing... & its Not reading!

I once thought that Elucidate was derived from Euclid, and so I pronounced the name accordingly....

As a kid I thought that if I put AA battery it in the freezer it will charge over night.

I thought if a character in a movie aged, they had to wait until the actor got that old.

Ate shrimp tails.
Fallen up stairs.
Once tried to walk out a window. It looked like plate glass but I bounced off of it nicely. The worst part was after the dozen or so witnesses realized I was ok they started laughing. Every time I went in that place, someone would make sure I found the door.

I once called my boss an idiot unintentionally and he heard me.

Have said more stupid things than I can remember.

When I was a child we lived in an old house that was built in 1858. It had 13 foot high ceilings on the first floor which meant the staircase was long and high. After watching the snow skiing championship on ABC's Wide World of Sports, my brother Derryl decided it would be fun to use two 2x4 boards to ski down our staircase. It did not go well!
