Can I recommend a blanket? Or put the cat in your lap. Or you and hubby could take advantage of the cold and cuddle. All I have. Oh and remember 68 will feel real good in 6 months.

I have Snuggie. Hubby is sitting at my desk playing his game. Cat is cold. I found her lying precariously on top of the chair by the baseboard. She is very short haired so she gets cold easy.

I caught a cold. *cough*

68F isn't cold; that's the normal temperature in my home (20C).
At my mom's, it's around 66F (19C), which can be cold. Sometimes it's even less there.
At my father's it's around 72F (22-23C) which can be *really* warm, but granted, he's... older.

We keep our house at 68 or less. Actually, usually around 18 which is closer to 65 degrees. It's Canada, it's the winter. Dress for it. (Yes, I know, you're NOT in Canada.)

They key is to dress or add a blanket. 68 isn't cold. It's quite comfortable. Even when doing nothing more energetic than working on the computer

It is when your apartment is naturally 73-75 all the time in the winter. Your body doesn't have time to adjust to the drop. My neighbor is home today so enjoying the residual heat from her unit. Baseboard is off.

A sweater? Even a cotton sweater should help. I pull out the wool shirts and sweaters in October, put them away April 1. Meanwhile, I wear shorts with them unless it gets serious. (It's a Canadian thing, what can I say.)

No sweaters. I mostly own PJs. A few t -shirts and few pairs of jeans. I have some dress clothes that's about it. I don't wear shorts. I have a few capris though.

PJs are very popular here. People actually go shopping in them. I haven't worked up the nerve as of yet to do it. I think it would be weird. I will go outside in them though.

Hubby is ill. He had one of the migraine episodes hit him suddenly. I think it's viral. I've had a migraine for three days now. I sent him to bed. So I'm sitting in the dark till he feels better.

It's comfortable in here thanks to the neighbor being home today. When she goes out she turns off the heat. Big difference when she is home. When she cooks you smell everything she is cooking.

I couldn't live without my stand fan. It is up high to force the heat down and around the rooms. Uses very little energy.

Just thought I would update. The memorial for my husband's oldest friend went well. It was a bit uncomfortable but the sister was cordial.
Yes, there is a long back story. It was just a bit weird meeting my husband's first wife's stepsisters. Pretty sure they felt a bit weird meeting me too.

Good day, no drama. Though we did come back home to snow.

A fan would cool the apartment. Too many cold drafts for it to catch.

Woke up to a freezing apartment. 64F. Had to turn both baseboards on. I don't get why it's so cold. It's warmer than last night. Usually at this temp outside it's warm in here. Maybe my neighbor left while sleeping. The bars should be out soon. Listening to the old guy next store trying to cough up a lung. He's a chain smoker. He needs to switch to vapes. It did wonders for my dad who use to do that.

Neighbor is a little nutty. He at times goes off screaming at the top of his lungs how he wants to die and every foul and filthy word you can think of. He works at Walmart. I imagine he's just letting off steam. The first few times it freaked me out now it's just annoying.

So far this year I've been focussing on reading my ongoing series. I'm doing well, but I've decided that the next book I want to read will be a stand alone book. I'm looking on Amazon now and it seems that all the interesting looking books are either part of a series, not released yet, or have silly subtitles ("the most unputdownable book of the year", "a totally gripping thriller you won't forget", etc).

I am in a very drafty house and yes a fan helps. The trick is in the placement. You just have to put the fan where it will blow the hot air not where the hot air goes into the back of it.
Or you could if you have them reverse the ceiling fans so the air is pushed back down.
Oh you might also want to check the direction of the vents on the baseboard heater.
Make sure they are pointed away from the wall.
