That sort of sounds like they are selling the 0KE and 0KF Internationally.

The 32G models are 0L*

The PW3 is the oldest model still being sold, so . . . .
Perhaps they ran out and had to make a new production run (with the 4G eMMC installed on the newer design 0L* model board).

Or as I speculated above, the people at Lab126 are smoking something different now.

i'm having problem downloading the initial factory firmware image file.
(using Win7 on a PC, i tried under Firefox and Chrome, no extensions)
the server gives me an error 403.
am i doing something wrong? is it possible that my IP is blocked?

Actually, it is this web-site that has the problem.
Mobileread.com was down or intermittent most of the night, now it is sending back to the browser different information when clicking a link here.
(I don't have anything to do with this site's servers.)

Will see if I can make adjustments in the re-director servers (those ARE my servers) to compensate for the non-standard operation of the Mobileread.com servers.

That is the first "PW3" model that was released by Amazon, so it is indeed supported here.

If you want 5.8.7 go to the Amazon.com page for your device, that is the current release.
OR
Re-read the directions, I added 5.8.7 to the list even though it is still the current version, both OTA and on the Amazon.com page for your device.

If none of those three ways to get 5.8.7 do not work for you, let me know here.
