I just switched my country at Kobo to India. I also put in my credit card info. I am still set to India.

Next time use the address of the Dutch embassy. No one will ever bother any diplomats, remember, those get away with murder.
At least this is what I do when buying a book at A.com and I never received a thread to my non exsisting bollocks. |

The Dutch site has a lot more books in Dutch, obviously, but the American/.com site has a lot of books that are not available on the Dutch/.nl site. If you read mainly in English, the .com site is the better one.

Same in France. I've been a client of Amazon.com for years (long before I had a reader), and always explored several Amazon sites (French, German, Spanish, Italian and American) for hard to find or expensive items (port included). When Amazon opened the French site for kindle books, I refused (and have to keep refusing) to move to the French site, which I can still use for everything but kindle books.
For ebooks, I've added Kobo, Feedbook, ebook.de and ebook.com to my comparison list. French book and ebook prices are determined by their publisher, so there is rarely a difference between sites - I do continue to read French books as well as foreign ones. Re India, I remember on my only trip to India (just 3 days on business), I went to a bookshop to explore Indian contemporary literature, and found that Penguin India had many books not available in Europe - and much cheaper. PS: Amazon.com is especially useful for those ebooks American publishers refuse to sell to us French - I never understood why. |

Hi people, again. I've got a Forefront case (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Forefront-C.../dp/B01MQD5EBE). It is nicely done and I like that it can stand, but it's sleeping function does not work at all ((( My noname e-bay case for now is the best. I've already returned original cover (expensive and stand does not work). Still looking for a good case...

Just a quick update on the Noreve case. I decided to send it back as it didn't do what it was supposed to do. They refuse to refund me, claiming it was a custom made case and they don't have to, but said they'd sent me a new one. The one with the flap. Even though I don't want this style as those blasted flaps tend to curl over the screen when you read.
Now I've been waiting for them to do anything since they got my cover back, which was three weeks ago. No new case, no money back, no answer on my requires on when they plan to ship it. They do answer, only not with a date or an estimation but with telling me the same thing over and over again about their French laws giving them the right to send a new case. Only they don't send out anything. I've been out of my money for nearly 10 weeks now. I am really sorry I put them on the map for anyone and can just discourage to buy from them strongly!!! |

Well, I'm glad you did, as I still love my cover... But it does sound that they have a service to the door, as we say it. As long as you like it, it's fine but don't you dare not like it...

In my case, they also offered to send me the one with the flap, but I just replied that I didn't want it. They refunded the purchase price through Paypal without problems, although they did keep the shipment costs (€5), which, according to EU law, they should have also refunded. I'm not going to start a legal battle over €5 though. Not worth my time. I've lost more money by buying games on recommendations and sales (and having them deleted afterward because I didn't find them worth my time) on GOG.com. I'm going to lose even more by selling the Aura ONE. If I were you, I'd mail them, and have them send the case with flap, if they don't want to refund, and then sell the case for €45 or so. |

Selling will be a huge problem, I went for the mint suede. No one but me would like to have a cover that is so prone to dirty up in an instant. ![]() This was just a tremendous waste of money and time. Not only did I lose the cost of the cover but also postage, which comes down to approx. 70€. And they are so stubborn and quite frankly stupid. Their command of the English language seems to be very rudimentary. They can't even tell me when they intend to send the new cover even though it has been three weeks now. Next time I feel the urge to buy something to make me happy, I'll just hand the money over to a beggar. Why is it you'll loose money on the Aura? They aren't available right now and it's Christmas, you should be able to sell it like hot cakes. |

![]() I really loved how it felt, but a cover that won't shut doesn't do me any good, as I fall asleep when reading and the reader quite often falls to the ground. Otherwise I would have kept it too. I wonder if they could cover me a China case with their leather instead of sending the next useless case. ![]() |

Maybe I'll upgrade the reader, and give it another shot with regard to sleep coers and battery life. I don't know yet. |

This whole problem with the KA1 and sleepcovers is bizarre. It appears that eink capacitive screens aren't all created equal.
I've had the original Aura6" (which also has a capacitive flush screen) in a Gecko slimfit case since I bought it a few years ago. My husband uses it every day and it's always worked perfectly. In addition the Aura6" screen has the superior page refresh method (Regal waveform, is it??) which the KA1 doesn't have. FWIW for my KA1, I ended up buying a cheap eBay slimfit case from China (the one that appears everywhere from multiple vendors in lots of colours). I have had an occasional problem where closing the cover doesn't always turn off the screen at the first attempt. However, the design is such that it's easy to see whether the light has actually gone off. In addition its magnetic closure does work fine and folding the front cover completely backwards doesn't trigger the on/off mechanism. For it's price (5 GBP) I've been surprisingly happy with it (love the rose gold colour). It remains to be seen whether the new firmware will improve anything. |
