The basic "Dracula" title is the same ASIN in both the Kindle and Kindle UK stores (B0084B5TK8). That means I can get the W4V version of Dracula for free, right? (That's this month's free title, BTW.) Unfortunately. no dice! I've been trying this particular ploy since W4V first went across the pond (they had some great freebies off the jump) but it doesn't work. I'm too chicken to let my library wander overseas because I'm afraid a title might jump off the boat during the journey. Do you mean to say you've found a way to make it work?!?!?
I do not know if it works for others now, I might have been grandfathered in. This is how I do it. IF the book has the same publisher across Amazon USA and UK and the audiobook is the exact same title and author with the exact same ISBN\AISN number I can cross buy most of the time with no problem. If there is a hiccup I just call the Amazon USA customer service and they will verify for me if I can or cannot whispersync the title. IT is a little bit of a hassle at times but I have found it worth it as certain books never come on sale in the Colonies but do in the UK and vis-versus.

Another option is to just set up separate accounts for the USA and UK stores and buy through those accounts. The disadvantage to this is your titles will not be consolidated on your apps. The big plus to this is you will have full access to both catalogs and all their deals and freebies. You will not be able to whispersync across the pond though.

I think that tea came from India. We probably got tea via the British, however. Actually, no doubt about it.

I give up, you win. If this was a PM, I'd like to go all day with this--it would be fun. But I don't want anyone in the open forum to get the idea that I dislike the Brits! They are the best friends that the U.S has in the world, with the possible exception of maybe just two or three other countries (Australia would be one; Canada would be another one).

All in fun. In fact, I just made a post on the Non-Fiction thread of a biography of a famous Brit.

I know that you're a busy man . . . er . . . monkey, but the first one appears not to have that much to do with communication skills. It is more about the power of showing compassion.

Since I've bothered to make this post, I will go ahead and add this point. The author appears to be advocating compassion because of the benefits that it will bring to us and to the world. I believe that we should be compassionate for its own sake and, if we are religious, as duty to God. What it does to help us or the world should be a secondary consideration. My opinion.

That was Audible's description. They're frequently wrong. Many times I cross check it with the Kindle version to see how they classify it and make appropriate changes when need be. This is one of those times I didn't check it.

I'm not a Prime member anymore, and almost always prefer to own than rent anyway. But, unless I've misunderstood something, it looks like buying the titles is certainly an option, at least to Prime members. If so, there are a lot of nice Whispersync deals among the ebooks in both of the the lists, and I think that it would certainly be worthwhile for people interested in such things to look through the lists and see if any of them strike their fancy.

One disappointment: it appears that a person cannot sort the titles in the first list by genre. Hopefully, as the lists inevitably grow longer, Amazon will add their usual feature to do that.

If you're buying them as Whispersync pairs, then there are 364 titles available.

I don't think it'll get much larger. Prime Reading is a free sampler of Kindle Unlimited for Prime members. Amazon really has no need to enlarge it. They're using it as a mechanism to entice Prime members to subscribe to Kindle Unlimited.

I'm pretty satisfied with its size; of course, larger is always better. Anyway, I get 50 free audiobooks from Prime Reading and 56 free audiobooks from Audible Channels for Prime.

The added benefit here is that you should be able to listen to them offline, if I remember correctly. If you "borrow" the audiobook doesn't it allow you to download it? I don't have KU but I seem to remember it working that way (correct me if I'm wrong).
