Inspired by a programme I just listened to on BBC Radio 4, here goes:
1. How old was William Shakespeare when he married Anne Hathaway? 2. In The Taming Of The Shrew by William Shakespeare, who was Kate's sister? 3. In which work by William Shakespeare does the character Shylock appear? 4. In which year did William Shakespeare die? 5. From where did William Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen come? 6. In William Shakespeare's Hamlet, how old was the title character? 7. What was the name of William Shakespeare's only son? 8. Which king is murdered in William Shakespeare's Macbeth? 9. In which work by William Shakespeare do Oberon and Titania appear? 10. In William Shakespeare's As You Like It, who was the principal female character? 1 point per correct question. I'll be out until this evening, so will respond to any answers then. |

6. I had read an article few years back, debating Prince Hamlet's age but various scholars have opined very differently. He could be of 16,17 or 30 years of age according to various arguments.

1. Shakespeare was 18 or 19 years of age at the time of his marriage. His wife Anne was a few years older than him (not sure how many years, though.)
